Online Bill Pay
Online bill pay lets you schedule and make payments online through online banking. You can pay anyone, anytime, anywhere. Also, you can set up repeating payments, such as a car or rent payment, and schedule payments in advance.
Simply setup the people or places you want to pay. You only have to do this once. Those entries will be saved for another payment. Then you schedule when to make your payments. The funds for the payment are drawn from your account of the scheduled pay date.
You should schedule your payments to be paid at least seven to ten business days before the actual payment due date. For first-time payments, you may want to allow up to 14 business days. You can adjust your payments accordingly after you see how long the transaction took.
Most of your payments are made electronically while others are made by check. For example, some payees cannot receive electronic payments, so a check is printed and sent to them. Payments reach the payee within seven to ten business days. However, some payees may take longer to post a payment. As you become more familiar with a payee's posting habits, you can adjust your payments accordingly. The date you schedule a payment is NOT the date the merchant receives the payment.
Security
We use several methods to ensure that your information is secure. An access ID and password unique to you is how you access your account information. Online bill pay also uses SSL (secure sockets layer) which ensures that your connection and information is secure. Finally, encryption makes your information unreadable as it passes over the internet.
